Procedure for pipelle biopsy of polyp, etc.

7 years 7 months ago #55580 by Janie
So I had a ob/gyn check to please my NP daughter and a cbc, etc. with platelets of 80,000 up from the 50,000 of several years ago when I stopped going for yearly cbc in St. Louis where Dr. Blinder said not to come back there if I started bleeding but go to the nearest ER...and we are not looking at a cure, but control...and he never had his latex-free gloves handy so my bp went sky high. The pap brush, smear initiated brownish spotting and it almost felt like an after several months of waiting, I had a check, then had an internal ultrasound at Northwestern and then on the same day a pipelle biopsy which shows thickened endometrium with polyp...simple to complex..and a known fibroid of many years. The ob wanted to do a d and c? like procedure but I am so allergic to so many things and was not impressed with her lack of oversight of my latex allergy for the ultrasound. Now I am definitely having period like days and need to proceed with some kind of doctoring. Have not had a hematologist for many years or a regular doctor...they retire or I move. Where in central to northern IL. would be a good place to go?.
