ITP Conference 2015: Home Page

July 24-26, Nashville, Tennessee

PDSA will present the 15th annual update on immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) for patients, caregivers, and the medical community July 24-26 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, just 8 miles from Nashville International Airport.  This year’s conference will provide an excellent opportunity to meet patients and doctors who support the PDSA and want to learn more. With the overwhelming success of last year’s meeting in Manhattan Beach, we anticipate a great turnout of patients, family members and medical professionals.

Our three-day program will feature renowned authors, researchers and clinicians, all with a strong interest in helping ITP patients improve their health. Once again, many of the PDSA Medical Advisors will present programs at the conference. You don’t want to miss out on this tremendous opportunity to hear and talk with these world-renowned ITP clinicians and researchers. Each year the conference provides opportunities to hear the latest information about ITP, meet others who are coping with ITP, and receive answers to your questions.  A highlight to this weekend will be a patient mixer on Friday evening and a special family-oriented party Saturday evening. PDSA realizes how important it is to offer patients and families a respite from dealing with a chronic illness while bringing a little joy and laughter into their lives.  In addition to the educational programs and social events, we will have programs for children and teens and our Kid’s Kamp for all children ages 5 and up.


Room Reservation Information

All meeting activities will be held at The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Minutes from Nashville International Airport (BNA) and next to the Grand Ole Opry, Gaylord Opryland Resort gives you a top Music City location offering Nashville's premier entertainment, dining, shopping, and recreational activities underneath signature glass atriums.  The hotel’s luxurious guest rooms feature comfortable beds with thick mattresses and fluffy down pillows, mini-refrigerators and 32-inch LCD cable televisions with CNN, ESPN and HBO. During downtime, enjoy Opryland resort’s 9 acres of lush indoor gardens and cascading waterfalls, or unwind in Relâche Spa & Salon, our on-site spa offering massages, facials and more.

If you plan to stay at The Gaylord Opryland Resort, please reserve your room as soon as possible to receive our special conference rate of $145 a night (king or queen/queen), plus tax.   In addition, there is a $15 per night resort fee, which provides you with complimentary local and 1-800 telephone calls (first 20 minutes), high-speed internet access, daily newspaper, designated complimentary in-room beverages, local shuttle service, fitness center access and a resort savings card. This rate is also available for conference attendees for three days before and three days after the conference. This special rate is available for reservations that are made by July 1, 2015, as long as rooms at the hotel are available.   Reservations can be made online or by calling 1-877-491-7397 and referencing the Platelet Disorder Support Association ITP Conference 2015. On-site parking is available for $21 per day. Airport shuttle service is available, by reservation, for $30 each way.



If you are interested in applying for a Scholarship to cover your hotel room for 2 nights and complementary registration, please check the box on the form and include a letter that includes information describing your diagnosis, your financial need, and the benefit you hope to derive from attending the conference. The deadline for scholarship applications is June 15, 2015. Please note: Travel costs are NOT included in the partial scholarship. Due to the limited number of scholarships available, they will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis and preference will be given to first time conference attendees.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration for the Conference, you must submit your request to cancel in writing prior to July 1, 2015. All fees less a $50 administrative charge will be refunded if a written request is received before the July 1, 2015 deadline. After July 1, 2015 no refunds will be issued.
