"A PONTELAND supermarket has supported a national charity through its green token scheme.

Three organisations are put forward by Waitrose stores each month to benefit from its Community Matters programme.

Shoppers are given a green token at the check-out and they put it next to the charity they want to receive funds.

And at the Ponteland branch, the money for the November choices has now been allocated, with £213 going to the ITP Support Association.
