About ITP

ITP and Families

Do other members of your family have ITP?

Although ITP is not considered an inherited disorder, we have heard from ITP patients with close relatives who have also been diagnosed with the disease. Dr. Amy Geddis is researching the genetic basis of inherited platelet disorders. We can help her.

If ITP appears more than once in your family and you would like to participate in some exciting new research you can contact Dr. Geddis at ageddis@ucsd.edu or call 619-224-1841.
