The ITP2 study is now open at more than 15 centers throughout the United States. This study addresses the question of whether intensive therapy for ITP within 30 days of diagnosis leads to longer remissions, and fewer relapses. Eligible patients must have received a diagnosis of ITP within 30 days, and have had a platelet count below 30,000 at some time during that interval.
