Each year, PDSA and dedicated volunteers have had astounding results increasing funding for ITP education, support, research, and awareness through charity events. Our grassroots volunteers are PDSA’s link to increase national awareness by connecting local communities. Your local Walk/Run will bring families and friends together to help facilitate the mission of PDSA to raise awareness of this disease and support research.PDSA is funded by the generous contributions of individual members and donors, fundraising events, and industry supporters. However, the tumultuous economy continues to have an impact on corporate giving. That is why PDSA relies on the efforts of our generous volunteers and individual donors, which helps us provide valued services and programs for patients and families struggling to live with ITP and other platelet disorders.

So put on your walkin’ shoes! It’s a great way to engage your community, have fun, and Pump it Up for Platelets! ~ for a world free of ITP

PDSA is a 501 (c) 3 organization. All donations are tax deductible.

“I am sixteen years old and was diagnosed with ITP at fifteen. It dramatically altered my life and at the beginning I felt very alone with this strange disease I had never heard of before. Finding the PDSA Web site was such a relief. Here was a community of people who I could relate to and I read their ITP stories on the discussion boards… I would really like to organize a 5k run in my town to raise awareness and money for platelet disorder research.”
